Varun Dhawan is one of the biggest superstars of this generation. He never leaves a stone unturned to make sure that he gives his best possible performance. The actor is currently busy promoting his film ‘Kalank’.
Now, there are certain reports that the film has been copied from Shauna Singh Baldwin’s 1999 book ‘What the Body Remembers’. However, Varun has denied the reports (at a Ishq 104.8 event) and said, “I have not read that book, I have no knowledge about that. But I don’t think the premise is the same because our actual premise has not yet opened in the promos. Yes, there is a love story but the film is a lot more than that.”
“Once people watch it they can make up their mind about that. But as far as I know, Karan had this story for a very long time which he wanted me to do,” he added.
For the uninitiated, the movie will be helmed by Abhishek Varman. It also stars Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt.
The trailer and songs of ‘Kalank’ (‘Ghar More Pardesiya’, ‘First Class’ and the title track) have already received an overwhelming response. We certainly can’t wait for the movie.
It remains to be seen if Varun can maintain his 100% hit record with this movie as well.
