Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited next ‘Street Dancer 3D’. The actor is currently busy with promotions. Now after Deepika Padukone lent her support to the JNU students, Varun too has shared his views on the ongoing protest. The ‘Badlapur’ actor said that you can’t stay neutral in such situations.
According to a report by PTI, Varun Dhawan commenting on the JNU violence said it was dangerous and sad what happened. “Cannot stay neutral on such issues. It’s dangerous & sad if masked people enter an educational institution and all this happens,” said the actor.
Deepika Padukone recently took a very bold step as she visited JNU campus and lent her support to the students. She was applauded by B-town celebs for standing up and supporting the students and teachers.

For the uninitiated, JNU students and teachers were attacked on campus by a masked mob. The mob injured around 35 people including JNU students’ Union president Aishe Ghosh.
Coming back to Varun’s movie, ‘Street Dancer 3D’ was earlier said to be a spin of the dance-dramas ‘ABCD’ and ‘ABCD 2‘ . However, the makers have claimed it to be a standalone film. ‘Street Dancer 3D’ also stars Raghav Juyal and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles. The film is slated to hit the silver screens on January 24, 2020.
