Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu to kickstart Citadel on THIS date

Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have come together for Russo Brothers Citadel. The movie is being helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Citadel is Varun’s first collab with Raj & DK and Samantha’s second with then filmmakers post-Family Man 2. This is the first time Varun Dhawan Samantha will be sharing screen space.

Reportedly Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will kickstart work on Citadel from July. The report further adds Varun will undergo Martial Art training for his role in the series.

As reported by sources to Pinkvilla, “If there are no further challenges because of the pandemic, then Citadel’s shoot will begin from July this year. It will kickstart in Mumbai and then will be shot at a few foreign locations. The makers intend to shoot in some parts of Europe, however, they will finalise the exact locations after the recee, which is expected to begin soon. Meanwhile, casting for other supporting parts is going on.”

Sources added, “Varun Dhawan will feature in some high-octane action sequences in the show, and will train in martial arts as a part of his prep. He will start the training well in advance before he begins filming for the show.”

On the work front, Varun Dhawan will be seen in Amar Kaushik’s Bhediya with Kriti Sanon. The horror-comedy will hit the screens on November 25 this year. Apart from this, Varun also has Jug Jugg Jeeyo along with Kiara Advani.

Samantha has Arrangements of Love directed by Philip John. She will also be seen in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Yashoda and Shakuntalam.

Raj and DK are presently busy shooting for Dulquer Salmaan, Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav starrer Guns & Gulaabs.
