Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor indulge in a fun banter over Bhediya song Thumkeshwari

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon-starrer creature comedy Bhediya is one of the most awaited releases in the coming month and the buzz around it is just getting stronger by the day. Yesterday, the makers released the first song from the film Thumkeshwari, featuring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, and while the audiences loved their moves and the chemistry, what surprised them all the more is the special appearance by Shraddha Kapoor in the song. Quite unexpected yet delightful, the surprise is something that has got the audiences all the more excited for the film, with the fun banter between Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor post it, adding to it.

Sharing the song on her Instagram stories, Shraddha had written, “Surprise Surprise!!! #STREEMEETSBHEDIYA (sic)”. Varun had reshared the story and wrote, “From dancing at each others bday parties and me mostly winning to dancing in big time songs… Stree is here (sic)”. While Shraddha loved the gesture and agreed on some points, she strongly contested Varun claiming that he won their dance battles. Taking to her stories, she responded, “Dancing at bdays (check)… Dancing in big time songs (check)… You winning… (sic),” with some confused and doubting emojis. This banter between these childhood best friends has surely left the fans excited for this reunion.

Varun and Shraddha have been best friends since they were kids and having grown in the same industry, they have a lot of relatability with each other. The duo has also appeared in multiple films together, including ABCD 2 and Street Dancer 3D. Seeing Shraddha’s appearance in Thumkeshwari has left the fans wondering if there will be some cliffhanger or easter egg for Stree 2 in Bhediya as the former film is rumoured to be the next one in Dinesh Vijan’s horror universe after Stree, Roohi and Bhediya. As for the Amar Kaushik directorial, the film releases on November 25 theatrically in 2D and 3D.
