Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra are two of the most popular leading men in Hindi cinema today. However, their stint in films started from behind the lens. The two actors worked with Karan Johar as Assistant Directors on Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer My Name Is Khan, before the filmmaker launched them as actors in Student Of The Year with Alia Bhatt. And now, we have some nostalgia gold from their days as ADs.

Recently, Karan’s Dharma Productions shared some throwback pictures from My Name Is Khan on Instagram. The BTS pictures see SRK, Karan and Kajol hard at work, with one of them seeing the actress laughing out loud. It even has John Abraham in one of the pic, which makes one wonder if he had a cameo in the film that didn’t make the final cut. One of the pics also see Farah Khan intensely observing something.

However, what steals the show is Varun and Sidharth working as ADs on the film. Varun’s pic reflects his fun personality as he doesn’t forget his swag even in waist-high water. The actor looks to be having so much fun working on the set. As for Sid’s pic, the actor is so intently working behind SRK, prepping for a scene. He looks so focused on the task at hand. There is one more picture of the two actors with the crew and they both look so adorable in it.

Post the film, Varun and Sid went on to make a mark for themselves as leading men. They have some amazingly successful films to their names respectively. Recently, Varun gave Bawaal with Nitesh Tiwari. Up next, he has his OTT debut Citadel India and VD 18 with Atlee. As for Sid, he also makes his OTT debut with Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force. On the big screen, he arrives with Yodha this December.
