Varun Dhawan shares a picture from the airport as he gets set to board the plane to head to start the last schedule of Citadel India's shoot.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden came with the first instalment of the Citadel universe in April this year. The Russo Brothers creation is to have instalments in different countries as well. The Indian instalment of Citadel stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. And seems like the former is all set to start his last schedule for the same.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Varun Dhawan shared a picture from the airport as he is about to embark on a flight. The actor wrote alongside it, “Last sched spyverse,” hinting at Citadel India. Varun is seen wearing a grey t-shirt, paired with a stylish hat. The actor sure do look quite adorable in the whole look.

Citadel India features Samantha alongside Varun. The series is a part of the Russo Brothers’ Citadel universe. The Indian instalment is directed by the duo Raj and DK. Apart from the leads, the show will also star SIkandar Kher and it will stream on Amazon Prime Video. It marks Varun’s OTT debut and the actor started the shoot for it in January this year. Samantha also joined him soon on the shoot.

The duo of Varun and Samantha also attended the screening of first Citadel instalment starring Priyanka and Richard in London. The show received mixed reviews on its release. It has although become one of the most watched shows on the platform. It recently had the release of its first season’s finale. The show has been renewed for a season 2 as well.

Apart from Citadel India, Varun will be returning on the big screen this year with Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. Recently, he had the OTT release of Bhediya as well and the film has been garnering appreciation on its digital release. In April, the actor also announced returning in Dinesh Vijan’s horror universe with Bhediya 2 in 2025.
