After a non-glamours role in ‘October’, Varun Dhawan has left his fans wanting for more. Varun plays a tailor in his next ‘Sui Dhaaga: Made In India’ also starring Anushka Sharma in the lead.
For ‘Sui Dhaaga’, the actor has learned the art of using a sewing machine. During the trailer launch of the film in Yash Raj studios, the actor revealed that he learned the tailoring skills in three months. Varun said, “I wanted to ensure to give my best to the role of Mauji.”
Dhawan added, “I knew that I had a big task to accomplish, also I wanted to convince the people that I’m a real ‘masterji’. All thanks to Noor Bhai(Tailor on the Sui Dhaga Sets) who gave me the training of this skills.”
He further added, “Learning the skills of a tailor was not easy at all. It was frustrating at some point when I was not doing it right. I used to spend 2-3 hours for continuous 3 months to get trained and pull that confidence in front of the camera”.

Varun Dhawan recently tried to put his skills on the test, when he stitched a shirt on his father’s (David Dhawan) birthday. Varun stated “Â My dad thinks that I am still a kaccha dhaaga (raw and young), but this shirt proves to him that I am not so raw anymore. I can make shirts, trousers and pillow covers”.
‘Sui Dhaaga: Made In India’ the story of self-reliance will surely connect with the audience. The film will hit the screens on September 28th, 2018.
