According to latest reports, Varun Dhawan to team up with Jawan director Atlee and Murad Khetani for an action entertainer. The film to go on floors this year by July-August and to release next year,

Varun Dhawan has already made a strong place for himself as a comic as well as a romantic hero in Hindi films. With his upcoming slate, he will reinvent that image as an action hero. He has Raj and DK’s Citadel India with Samantha Ruth Prabhu to begin with. And now, reportedly, he has bagged yet another actioner.

Varun Dhawan to team up with Atlee and Murad Khetani

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Varun Dhawan is all set to join hands with Jawan director Atlee and Murad Khetani. Their collaboration is reportedly an action entertainer which will see Varun in an out-and-out action avatar. Atlee and Murad will be jointly producing this venture.

A source close to the development shared, “Varun has been in talks with Atlee and Murad Khetani for a feature film for a while now and the actor is all set to commence shooting for the same by early August. It’s a proper commercial entertainer and at present in the pre-production stage. The team is coming together to create a big scale action experience for the audience.”

The actioner to release in Summer 2024

The makers are working on getting the best team behind this ambitious project. The source informed, “While the story is high on emotion and drama, action is at the forefront and the team is looking to create stylish and large than life sequences for Varun. The film will be shot over a period of four to five months as the makers are targeting it to be the big Summer 2024 release in cinema halls across the globe.” The female lead opposite Varun as well as the film’s antagonist are expected to be locked by June.

As for now, Varun is currently shooting for Citadel India. He has Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal this October with Janhvi Kapoor, and he has also announced Bhediya 2 for 2025 release. Atlee is looking forward to the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan on September 7, 2023. Murad Khetani, on the other hand, is producing Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal next.
