Varun Dhawan to perform his own stunts in VD18, Atlee gets 8 renowned action directors on board – Report

Varun Dhawan is gearing up for his upcoming mass entertainer movie VD18. The title is yet to be announced but the hype around the movie is absolutely real. Recently, the actor shot for a larger-than-life entry song with 100s of background dancers. Varun Dhawan’s VD18 is being produced by Atlee and Murad Khetani with Jio Studios. Now, it is being said that the two have brought 8 action directors for the Varun Dhawan starrer.

Varun Dhawan to perform his own action stunts?

As per a report by Pinkvilla, Varun Dhawan will keep shooting for the film’s action sequences till March. A source of the portal stated, “While the dramatic, romantic, comic portions have already been shot, it’s time for the real deal aka. Action now for Varun Dhawan. He has been prepping all along for this leg as the team intends to shoot all the action blocks of VD 18 over a period of 3 months. Atlee and Murad Khetani were always committed to hire the best technicians for the film and they have got 8 action directors for the thrilling and larger-than-life action blocks of this entertainer.”

The report further stated that Varun Dhawan will be performing the action sequences by himself with the help of body doubles. Reportedly, the action directors include Anl Arsu, Anbharivu who directed action for KGF, Leo, Salaar, Kalki; Sunil Rodrigues, Yannick Ben, Kaloyan Vodenicharov, Manohar Verma, Paneer Selvam and Bronwin October.

Meanwhile, the title of the Varun Dhawan starrer might be announced next week with a mega video. On this note, Varun Dhawan’s VD18 is gearing up for a release on 31st May, 2024. Along with Varun, the movie also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh as the female leads.
