Varun Dhawan to begin shooting for Karan Johar’s Dulhania 3 in 2024 but NOT with Alia Bhatt? Here’s what we know

Varun Dhawan had left his fans and followers mighty impressed with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Now, it looks like the actor is all set to become the ‘Dulha’ once again in the next year. It is being said that Varun Dhawan will collaborate with Shashank Khaitaan for the next installment of the Dulhania franchise, Dulhania 3.

Varun Dhawan starrer Dulhania 3 to hit the floors in 2024?

A report by Bollywood Hungama stated that Varun Dhawan starrer third installment will begin filming towards the end of 2024. Though the Dulhania has always been Alia Bhatt, the report added that the makers will bring a new actress opposite Varun Dhawan. The chances are high that a new face might be launched alongside the actor. It said, “There is a high chance for Karan and Varun to launch a fresh face with the new Dulhania film.” The report also added that Karan Johar is very excited to complete the Dulhania trilogy.

The source stated, “Varun, Shashank, and Karan Johar have discussed several ideas for Dulhania 3 and have finally locked one.” The source also added that Varun will begin filming for this after the completion of shooting for his father David Dhawan’s next movie which will be produced by Ramesh Taurani. For the time being, Varun Dhawan has wrapped a schedule of his upcoming movie VD18. He had took to his Instagram handle to announce the same.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan was last seen alongside Janhvi Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal. The movie was an OTT release but captured many hearts of the audience. Now, Varun Dhawan has a list of upcoming movies coming up ahead. The movies include VD18, where the actor will be seen alongside Wamiqa Gabbi. Along with this, Varun also has Raj and DK web series Citadel India in the pipeline.
