Varun Dhawan is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. Recently, Varun Dhawan attended an award show in Mumbai where was felicitated with the Best Actor Award. At the prestigious event, Varun won hearts with his Marathi speech, and that totally became the highlight of the evening.
Varun Dhawan received Best Actor award…
The actor started his speech by saying it feels great to receive such an award. He said in Marathi, “Aaj mala evda motha samman milto hai ani ya sathi mi khup khup abhari hai.”
The actor went on to add, “While I am here mein yeh kehna chahunga ki Maharashtra meri janmabhumi hai, meri karn bhumi hai and truly mere joh pitaji hai unki joh success story hai woh sirf aur sirf Maharashtra ke wajah se complete hui hai. Meri joh schooling hui hai, aur college hui hai woh sab Maharashtra mein hui hai (While I am here I would like to say that Maharashtra is my birthplace. So, I owe my entire life to Maharashtra. My father’s success story has been completed because of Maharashtra. I have done my schooling and college in Maharashtra too) He added that the award means a lot to him.
Before ending his speech, Varun chanted, “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji. Jai Maharashtra, Jai Hind.”
Varun began his career as an assistant director to Karan Johar in My Name Is Khan. Later, he made his acting debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year. Varun went on to star in films like Main Tera Hero, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Dilwale, Dishoom, and JugJugg Jeeyo among others.
The actor last delivered a terrific performance in Bhediya. Varun will be next seen in Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor. Fans are beyond excited to see Varun and Janhvi onscreen together.
Apart from this, Varun will also star in Raj & DK’s Indian version of Citadel along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
