Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ reboot? Here is how Aamir Khan reacted

Superstars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan‘s ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is one of the cult movies of Bollywood. The film is all set to enter its 25th year in 2019. Rumours are rife that the film’s original producers – Vinay Sinha and Priti Sinha are planning a reboot of the iconic comedy and have apparently approached Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan for the same.

Aamir Khan, reacting to reports of Varun and Ranveer being approached for ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ reboot, told HT, “I don’t know if it’s [the news about Ranveer and Varun being a part of it] true but if you ask me, they should definitely do it (smiles). ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is a film that people have loved immensely [in the past], so I am sure they would love to see it. I don’t know what exactly is being planned – a remake, part two or an offshoot.”

He further added that he would personally like to see a fresh take on the cult comedy. As an audience, he would love to see what Ranveer, Varun or any of the young actors would do with the iconic characters.

Earlier, a Pinkvilla report had quoted a source, “This will be set in 2019 and the new version will have different characters and story. Crime Master Gogo, that was played by Shakti Kapoor in the original, will also be given a modern and stylish touch by the makers.”

On the work front, Varun Dhawan is busy with his dance film ‘Street Dancer’, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. He also has Karan Johar’s ‘Kalank’ in his kitty. Ranveer, on the other hand, is promoting his upcoming release ‘Gully Boy’ co-starring Alia Bhatt.
