Varun Dhawan is a dance enthusiast, we all know that. The handsome hunk has always impressed us with his flawless dance skills and he has always encouraged talent. On this note, the ‘ABCD 2’ star recently took to Twitter to praise a dance reality show that airs on Star Plus.
The show is judged by Varun’s  good friend and choreographer Remo D’Souza. So Varun tweeted, “Dance Plus definitely has the best live dance acts on TV. Superb.” [sic] This came right after Shah Rukh Khan making his appearance on this show. Remo and his team had prepared a special act as a tribute to SRK and it was truly magical. Touched by the act, Varun shared this on Twitter.
But now, this tweet has apparently called for a trouble for him. Varun Dhawan is the brand ambassador for Sony Sab TV. Being the face of Sab TV, Varun is the ‘happiness’ ambassador for this channel. But Remo’s ‘Dance Plus 3’ airs on Sony’s rival channel Star Plus. So Varun praising the show that is being aired on a rival channel is something that has irked the authorities of Sony TV.
A source has been quoted in Mid-Day, “It was a clear case of clash of interests. Varun did it with honest intentions, without thinking of consequences. But, it didn’t go down well with Sony.” Later, the actor had to delete the tweet.
On the work front, Varun will next be seen in ‘Judwaa 2’ that is being directed by his father David Dhawan. He will share screen space with Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in this film. It is slated to release on September 29. (Also Read: Varun Dhawan rejects Nitesh Tiwari’s next film?)
