Varun’s next with Shoojit Sircar gets a release date!

Varun Dhawan has his hands full of films. He has his father’s ‘Judwaa 2’ in his kitty, of which he has recently completed the shooting. He would be sharing screen space with Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in this second instalment of Salman Khan’s iconic 1997 film ‘Judwaa’. Next, he has signed Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming project titled ‘October’.

Varun had recently announced this film through social media by posting a picture of himself and the director discussing over the script of the film. Now, he took to Twitter to announce the release date of this film. ‘October’ is slated to release on June 1, 2018.

‘October’ apparently is a love story but with a twist. Varun’s character seems to be quite different from what he has portrayed till date. In one of his interviews, he had revealed, “I am definitely very happy and excited. What’s amazing about him is that he is very sure about his vision. I have met him just now, so I am trying to get into that world, understand it. and the way the film is going to breathe and feel. It’s very different from anything I have done before.” Apparently, it’s a dark film in contrast to the light-hearted films that Varun has done so far, except ‘Badlapur’. The script for the film is being penned by Juhi Chaturvedi of ‘Piku’ fame.

Well, we are excited for ‘October’. It would be nice to see Varun doing something different from what he usually does. Meanwhile, we are also curious to know about his leading lady in this film.
