VD 18: Varun Dhawan unleashes his massy avatar as Baby John in intriguing title announcement video

Varun Dhawan has teamed up with renowned filmmaker Atlee for VD 18. While the audience is excited to know more about this collaboration, the cat is finally out of the bag. Varun Dhawan starrer VD18 is titled Baby John and the makers have unveiled his first look from the film.

On February 5, the makers shared a video giving a glimpse of Varun’s character. It features him in a never-seen-before massy persona. What makes it even more interesting is the glimpse of action sequences and thrilling background score. Sharing the glimpse, Atlee wrote, “Unveiling the Biggest Action Entertainer of the year 2024. #BabyJohn starring #VarunDhawan, #KeerthySuresh & #WamiqaGabbi releasing on 31st May in cinemas! (sic).”

About Baby John

The movie is produced by Jawan helmer Atlee along with Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande. Apart from Varun, it stars Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles. It is a remake of Tamil movie Theri about an undercover cop who fights goons to protect his daughter in course of which his past resurfaces. The Tamil movie starred Thalapathy Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson. Talking about the film with Pinkvilla, Varun Dhawan had said, “All I can say is it’s a mass-action entertainer. There is a lot of entertainment in the film, which I love as well. And, I’m just going to give it my all.”
