Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale passes away in Pune

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale is no more.  The actor was admitted to hospital a few days ago. Vikram Gokhale, popularly known for his roles in films like Salman Khan starrer Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Akshay Kumar starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa, breathed his last in a Pune hospital. For the uninitiated, Vikram Gokhale was admitted to Deenananth Mangeshkar hospital in Pune a few days ago after his health condition worsened.

Taking to Twitter, ANI tweeted, “Maharashtra | Veteran Actor Vikram Gokhale passes away in Pune.”

The veteran actor’s wife, Vrushali Gokhale earlier revealed that he had a lot of issues ‘like in heart and kidney’. He also suffered from multi organ failure. Fans of the actor are mourning his demise.

Earlier on Wednesday, news of his death surfaced on social media. The actor’s family had refuted his death rumours. Speaking with Times of India, his wife said, “He slipped into coma yesterday afternoon and post that, he has not responded to touch. He is on ventilator. Doctors will decide tomorrow morning what to do, depending on whether he’s improving, sinking, or still not responding. He improved a bit but slipped again. He has had a lot of issues, like in heart and kidney. At the moment, he has had a multi organ failure.”

His daughter had asked fans to pray for him.

The veteran actor also appeared in films like Rani Mukherji starrer Hichki, Aiyaari, De Dana Dan, Agneepath among others. He was also popular in the Marathi film industry. The actor was seen in Anumati and Aaghaat. He last starred in the web show ‘Avrodh: The Seige Within’.
