Veteran actress Kirron Kher is suffering from blood cancer; BJP Chandigarh president shares her health update

Veteran actress and Bharatiya Janata Party’s Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher is suffering from multiple myeloma. According to the Hindustan Times report, the news was shared by one of Kirron’s party colleagues. Multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer, and the same report stated that the Hum Tum actress is currently undergoing treatment in Mumbai.

Talking about Kirron’s diagnosis and recovery, Chandigarh BJP president Arun Sood said at a specially convened press conference, “She had suffered a broken left arm at her Chandigarh house on November 11 last year. After her medical tests at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The disease had spread to her left arm and right shoulder. For treatment, she had to go to Mumbai on December 4.”

Sood further added that even though Kirron is recovering after her four-month treatment but she has to visit the hospital regularly for her treatment.

The press conference was held after the opposition parties raised questions over Kirron’s absence from Chandigarh over the last few months amidst the Coronavirus scare. Sood also said that Congress leaders are unnecessarily making an issue about Kirron’s absence despite knowing her health condition.

On the personal front, Kirron is married to Anupam Kher. She occasionally works in films and has even judged the talent hunt show India’s Got Talent for several seasons.
