Veteran singer Pankaj Udhas passes away due to a prolonged illness

Veteran singer Pankaj Udhas who has delivered some incredible music for a long time passed away on February 26 at the age of 72. His daughter Nayaab Udhas took to her Instagram and shared an official statement regarding his death. Her statement read, “With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to a prolonged illness.” Soon after the sad news broke out, several fans and well-wishers mourned his demise and expressed their grief.

A user said, “So sorry to hear this. Please accept our condolences. May his soul rest in peace.” While another one shared, “I am terribly sorry and this is devastating! May his soul rest in peace. I know no words can pacify, however I pray that almighty gives your family the strength to deal with the irreparable loss of Sh. Udhasji #TheEndOfAnEra.” Chandi Jaisa Rang Hai Tera, Na Kajare Ki Dhar, Chitthi Aayee Hai”. There was another one who commented, “I’m so sorry to hear of your loss, stay strong and please accept my condolences.“

Pankaj Udhas’ rep told indianexpress.com, “Pankaj sir was suffering from a prolonged illness and wasn’t keeping well the last few days. He died this morning around 11 am at Breach Candy hospital.”
