Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam’s health condition continues to be critical

Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, aka SPB, is not keeping well since the last few weeks after he tested positive for Covid-19. According to the latest updates, the singer’s health still continues to remain critical and he has put on life support.

74-year-old Balasubrahmanyam is admitted to MGM Healthcare and as per a PTI report, he continues to be critical on ventilator and ECMO support in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

According to the same report, commenting on the veteran singer’s deteriorating health, Assistant Director (Medical Services) of the hospital Dr Anuradha Baskaran said, “Our multi-disciplinary team of clinicians have been actively collaborating with national and international experts and continue to closely monitor his vital parameters.”

Ever since news of SPB’s critical health surfaced, his fans and followers have been constantly praying for his speedy recovery. So much so that they even started hashtags like “#GetWellSoonSPBSIR” and “#SPBalasubrahmanyam” trending on Twitter.

Celebrated celebs like music composers Ilayaraja, A R Rahman, megastar Rajinikanth took to their social media handles to pray for SPB’s recovery. While the renowned singer’s fans and industry colleagues even participated in an online mass prayer for him.

We are praying for the gifted singer’s speedy recovery and hope that gets out of the ICU at the earliest.
