Vicky Kaushal almost rejected Uri: The Surgical Strike?

Vicky Kaushal is one of the talented actors in Bollywood. He has been part of movies like Masaan, Raazi, Manmarziyaan and many more. But Vicky is always applauded for his role in URI: The Surgical Strike. Vicky Kaushal played the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill in URI and he even bagged a National Film Award for the same. But did you know that Vicky has almost rejected Uri?

The Sardar Udham actor revealed in a recent interview that it was his father who told him to take up Uri which he had overlooked. Vicky said that he was filming for the Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi when he got the script of Uri but could not connect with it.

In an interview with Film Companion’s Front Row chat, Vicky said, “Uri was something I was gonna skip. In the middle of shooting Raazi, I read the film, maybe I was tired, I went to work next day not feeling connected to it.” But it was his dad who pushed him to take up Uri, “My dad found the script & read it. He told me it will be the biggest mistake if I didn’t do it. I asked for more time. Read the script again. And got really excited to do it.”

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal has been making headlines over his rumoured wedding to Katrina Kaif. The two actors have said to be dating for a long time now and VicKat fans cant wait to see them as husband and wife. But there has been no confirmation by the actors as yet. It is said that the VicKat wedding will take place at a lavish resort in Rajasthan this December.
