Vicky Kaushal gives a glimpse of Sam Bahadur as he announces the release date of his movie

After playing the real-life character of Sardar Udham Singh, actor Vicky Kaushal is once again going to play a real-life character onscreen as Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, and the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal. After the announcement of his biopic, fans are psyched to see his journey on celluloid. On Thursday, Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram and dropped a small clip which only gives a glimpse of his character Sam Bahadur while announcing the release date.

In the small video, we see Vicky as Sam who is seen walking amidst his generals but we only get to his back in the video. Sharing the clip with his fans, the Raazi actor captioned, “365 days to go… #Samबहादुर in cinemas 1.12.2023” Sam Bahadur will be hitting the theatres after a year as the release date is December 1, 2023.

In October, Vicky wrapped up the film’s shoot and shared a lovely post with the director Meghna Gulzar and the team. Sharing the post with his fans on Instagram, Kaushal wrote, “After more than 2 months of relentless work across 5 cities… it’s a SCHEDULE WRAPPP for the बहादुरs!!! Few more cities and a few more months to go. See you soon Team, to continue our journey of making #SAMबहादुर !!!”

Sam Bahadur is a biopic on Sam Manekshaw, the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film will showcase his Army career spanned over four decades and five wars.

Apart from Vicky Kaushal playing Sam Manekshaw, Fatima Sana Shaikh will play the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and her Dangal co-star Sanya Malhotra will play Manekshaw’s wife.
