Vicky Kaushal’s father, Sham Kaushal accused of sexual misconduct

The #MeToo movement, that has caught the nation by storm, has given women strength to open up on being sexually harassed. Bollywood too is reeling under its effect with filmmakers and actors such as Nana Patekar, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Sajid Khan, Subhash Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar, Mukesh Chhabra among others being accused of sexual harassment in separate cases by different women. One more name has been added to the long list and this time it is an action director.

The latest name to get added on the list is action director Sham Kaushal who is the father of ‘Sanju’ star Vicky Kaushal.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, a woman named Nameeta Parekh has accused Sham Kaushal of sexual misconduct during an outdoor shoot of a film. Nameeta, who has worked as an assistant director in films such as ‘Manorama Six Feet Under’, ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’ and ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’, alleged that during an outdoor shoot in 2006, the action director had asked her to join him in his room to drink vodka. She further said that when she denied, he insisted and showed her a porn clip.

There has been no response from Sham Kaushal or his son Vicky Kaushal.

The #MeToo movement was initiated by actress Tanushree Dutta when she said that Nana Patekar had sexually harassed her on the sets of ‘Horn Ok Pleasss’ in 2008. At present, the actress’ lawyer has submitted a notice, demanding narco analysis, brain mapping and lie-detector test for Nana Patekar and the other three accused of sexually harassing her.

Nana, who was shooting for Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Housefull 4’, has decided to step back due to the allegations. There are rumours that he might be replaced by Anil Kapoor or Sanjay Dutt.
