Actor Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram recently to share pictures of his visit to Kolkata to watch the iconic derby match. Vicky Kaushal recently attended the historic Durand Cup 2023 derby match between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal FC in Kolkata. Vicky who will be soon seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur, was seen thoroughly enjoying the event. Organized by the Indian Army, this iconic football tournament holds the distinction of being the oldest in Asia. However, he attending the match has a connection to his onscreen character Sam Bahadur. How come?

Interestingly, Sam Manekshaw had also visited the Durand Cup decades ago and was closely involved with the tournament. We got our hands on some rare pictures capturing the legendary Sam Manekshaw’s visit to the Durand Cup grounds decades ago. In the pictures, he was seen interacting with the organizers and posing with players. Well, similarly, Vicky also visited Kolkata to attend the derby match.

The Raazi actor shared the pictures where he was also seen interacting with the players. It’s the oldest tournament in Asia and 3rd oldest in the world conducted by the Indian Army. Not sure if he visited the place just to know about his character or wanted to be a part of it, it was a delight to see Vicky. He looked like a handsome hunk, wearing a classy black jacket and pants that he teamed with a white t-shirt. Vicky’s dense beard and curly hairdo have left us swooning. He looks like a visual treat to us.
