Did you know Vicky Kaushal manifested playing Sam Bahadur during Raazi shoot?

Actor Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram account and revealed that he manifested playing Sam Bahadur in Meghna Gulzar’s directorial venture ever since he was shooting for Raazi also starring Alia Bhatt. He dropped a picture with Meghna Gulzar where the two are sitting on the terrace while conversing.

While sharing the picture on his handle, the Sardar Udham actor revealed that when he was shooting for Raazi six years ago, the filmmaker Meghna briefly mentioned Sam Bahadur for the first. And right from that moment, Vicky has only wished to be a part of the film. Now, that is playing the lead role in the movie, he feels surreal as he is enjoying the beautiful episode from Sam’s life.

Sharing the video, the Govinda Naam Mera actor captioned, “6 years ago, in 2017, while Shooting for ‘Raazi’ here in Punjab, on this very terrace… @meghnagulzar briefly mentioned #Samबहादुर for the first time, as one of her future projects. Quietly in my heart, I sent out a wish to the universe… to one day be considered for the role… Today… sitting on the same terrace with Meghna, as we are set for an all-nighter, shooting for a beautiful episode from Sam’s life. Living Sam is probably the most magical journey I’m on as an Actor!”

For the unversed, Sam Bahadur is a biopic on Sam Manekshaw, the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film will showcase his Army career spanned over four decades and five wars.

Apart from Vicky Kaushal playing Sam Manekshaw, Fatima Sana Shaikh will play the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and her Dangal co-star Sanya Malhotra will play Manekshaw’s wife.
