Has Vicky Kaushal replaced Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’? Here’s his response

‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’ has been creating a lot of buzz since its inception and it grabbed the headlines when Shah Rukh Khan, who was supposed to play the lead, quit the movie. The movie is based on the life of Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma. Post SRK’s exit, there were reports that Vicky Kaushal has been roped in for the role. But there is no such official announcement from the makers.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Vicky didn’t deny the news and has said that an official announcement of the movie will soon be made. With this, he has somewhat confirmed that he might star in ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’.

We have to wait for the official announcement now. Meanwhile, at a panel discussion at FICCI Frames, writer Anjum Rajabali said, “If you’re asking me, there was a problem with the script (of ‘Zero’). Himanshu (Sharma, the writer) is a very talented person but things go wrong sometimes. I don’t think he said no to ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’ because of the space (angle). I think he’s also pretty shaken up, he was banking a lot on that.”

Talking about Vicky Kaushal, his latest release ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ has got an overwhelming response from the audiences as well as critics. Vicky has won everyone’s heart with his performance that was full of ‘josh’.
