Vicky Kaushal pens a heartfelt note as his ‘childhood hero’ Sachin Tendulkar praises him in Sam Bahadur

Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur released theatrically on December 1 and earned unanimous praise from all over. The Meghna Gulzar directorial struck a chord with the nation, and even celebs came out to praise the film. Vicky Kaushal is on cloud 9 with the latest celeb review of Sam Bahadur as it comes from his ‘childhood hero’, Sachin Tendulkar.

On Saturday, the cricketing legend attended a special screening of the film. While coming out from there, Vicky and Sachin posed for the cameras together. The cricketer then went on to share his review of the film. Talking to the paps, he said, “It’s a very good film. I was super impressed by Vicky’s acting. It truly felt like Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was present. The body language was incredible. It’s an important film for all generations to watch, to know the history of our country.”

Vicky’s heartfelt note for Sachin

After getting such a rave review from Sachin, Vicky felt elated. Especially so, since the cricketer is the actor’s childhood hero. Sharing a picture of them together, Vicky wrote, “My childhood hero saw my Film today! #IAmOk !!! Thank you @sachintendulkar Sir for your kind words… I’ll cherish them for a lifetime.”

The film features Vicky alongside Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Sam Bahadur had a good opening at the box office as it collected Rs 6.25 crores on Day 1. The collection grew on the second day as the film earned Rs 9 crores. The two day total of the film stands at Rs 16.25 crores.
