Chhaava trailer: Vicky Kaushal roars as Sambhaji Maharaj; Ashaye Khanna’s evil and Rashmika Mandanna royal avatar stand out

Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava has kept fans excited ever since the makers started to share the character posters of the stars and not its trailer is finally out. The historical drama revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles.

In the film, Vicky Kaushal is set to portray the character of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the founder of the Maratha empire. The trailer gives a glimpse of Sambhaji Maharaj’s life and looks like Vicky has effortlessly got in skin on character. From sword fighting to horse riding and beating everyone black and blue, he is all set to rule the screens with his fierce avatar.

The flick also stars Rashmika Mandanna as his wife Yesubai who is the force behind his strength as he goes all out to save his kingdom. Another character that steals the spotlight is Akshaye Khanna as Emperor Aurangzeb. While the whole trailer has piqued our excitement, one scene that steals the show is showdown between Vicky and Akshaye. Watch the trailer here:

Written by Rishi Virmani and directed by Laxman Utekar, the historical drama is produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner, Maddock Films. The music is composed by AR Rahman. Chhaava is scheduled to release in cinemas on February 14, 2025, Valentine’s Day. The film also stars Ashutosh Rana as Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, Divya Dutta as Soyarabai and Neil Bhoopalam as Muhammad Akbar. For those unversed, Chhaava was supposed to release in December 2024. However it got postponed to avert clash with Pushpa 2.
