Vicky Kaushal reveals he proposed to Katrina Kaif a day before their wedding: It was not so dramatic

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. They tied the knot on 9th December, 2021. The couple keeps giving fans major relationship goals. Now, in the latest episode of Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan 8, Vicky Kaushal spilled the beans on his proposal story with Katrina Kaif. The actor revealed that he proposed to her a day before their wedding. He added that it wasn’t ‘dramatic’ and mentioned that he went down on one knee for his beautiful wife.

Vicky reveals how he proposed to Katrina

The actor shared, “It was not so dramatic. It was not so well planned. It was very last minute. I had been warned by everybody that if you don’t propose, it’s something that you have to be prepared for the rest of your life that you get to hear about it. I did that (proposed) one day before the wedding. The first night that we were there, we reached there and I planned a special dinner. So, there was dinner just before any of the friends and families could come. They were all coming the next day. It was just us. So yeah, it happened there.”

Furthermore, Vicky also revealed details about his first meeting with his in-laws. The Sam Bahadur actor shared how he broke the ice with Katrina’s family, “It’s a fun episode. Not fun in the sense that it is comic. Fun because it genuinely felt nice. I couldn’t meet them for two years because of COVID. So, I met them for the the first time, literally a week before marriage. We had a party at my place and we were all drinking and dancing. Instantly, we saw something in each other and just connected. Two hours into meeting each other and we were dancing on the floor to Tip Tip Barsa Paani in the first meeting. The ice was broken, melted, and gone.”

On the work front, Vicky recently delivered a terrific performance as India’s First Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in Sam Bahadur. The Meghna Gulzar directorial also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
