Actor Vicky Kaushal recently shared insights into his favourite films featuring his wife, Katrina Kaif, as well as some of their adorable and witty moments as a married couple.
During a conversation with Pinkvilla, Vicky, who tied the knot with Katrina in 2021, was asked by a fan about his favourite films of the Merry Christmas actress. He revealed that he particularly enjoyed Singh Is Kinng and Welcome. Expressing his admiration, he said, “I think that was one of the most brilliant, entertaining films.”

Elaborating on his love for Welcome, Vicky shared that he still enjoys the film and even uses Nana Patekar’s iconic dialogue, “Control Uday, Control”, at home sometimes. He added, “Main toh kayi baar unko bhi bol deta hoon, kabhi kabhi kuch hota hai, ‘Control Uday, Control’ (Whenever something happens, I sometimes tell her, ‘Control Uday, Control’).”
During the same interview, the Bad Newz actor also addressed being labelled as the “Ideal son and husband’. Reflecting on relationships and personal growth, he remarked, “We keep evolving, we keep learning, we keep building our relationships. And that’s what we all are doing.”

For those unfamiliar with their love story, Vicky and Katrina first met at the 2019 SCREEN Awards. Recalling that moment, Vicky said, “So I was hosting, and this, I think, was the first time. First time I ever met her and interacted with her. So, on stage, of course, there’s always an earpiece where people guide you, telling you what to do next, what to say—it’s always scripted. But behind the stage, it was the first time we were introduced to each other formally. Yeah, so… Who knew!”

On the professional front, Vicky Kaushal’s highly anticipated historical drama Chhaava, based on the life of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is set for a theatrical release on 14th February. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Fans are eagerly looking forward to seeing him portray such a powerful role on the big screen.
