With just days left until Laxman Utekar’s historical epic Chhaava releases in theatres, the film’s lead actor Vicky Kaushal is all out promoting it. From Mumbai to Kolkata to Hyderabad, the actors has been spotted all across the country creating hype for the film in which he brings to life Maratha king Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Now, the actor took to social media to share a few glimpses of how he prepped for the role. From reaching his 100 kg goal to learning horse riding, stick fighting and more, the actor’s dedication is clearly visible. However, it’s him getting his ears pierced that has got his fans excited. Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Good old Chhaava prep days’

A couple of hours ago, Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram handle and shared several pictures and videos simply captioned as, “Good old #Chhaava prep days! See you all on 14th Feb.” Letting fans know they can begin booking their tickets, he added, “WORLDWIDE ADVANCE BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN!”

In the first frame, Vicky Kaushal can be seen effortlessly flaunting his physic while in the gym and shirtless in the next while taking a break after an intense workout. The following slides include a snap of a weighing scale revealing Vicky was precisely 100.5 kgs for the film, the actor burning calories while using a training cycle and twirling a stick with remarkable precision. While we also see Mr Kaushal mastering riding a horse, it’s the eight slide that has out heart.

In this slide, Vicky Kaushal is seen getting his ears pierced to look as authentic as he possibly can while playing Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. This clip sees the actor letting out a hissing sound as the piercing gun pushes a gold-coloured stud through his earlobe. The actor is seen shutting his eyes and he dealt with the pain before checking out his piercings in a nearby mirror.

The remaining slides show a drum filled with ice – which Vicky was likely to take a cold plunge in, another workout video and a final slide of him lying down with his back resting on a foam roller.

Reacting to this prep post, a fan commented, “Chhaava ki tayari … sub pe bhaaari!” Another added, “Not just training for a film, but embodying a legacy! #ChhaavaDedication.” A third – stating facts, noted, “vickykaushal09 sir, You have lived this one.”
