Sardar Udham teaser OUT: Vicky Kaushal drops video; actor gives a sneak-peek into the film

Vicky Kaushal is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film titled Sardar Udham. The film is scheduled for a digital release on the streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video. It will premiere on October 16. Today, on Monday, September 27, Vicky Kaushal shared the teaser video of Sardar Udham. The makers released the teaser video on the occasion of Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary.

The video gives a sneak-peek into the film. The teaser opens with Sardar Udham Singh (Vicky Kaushal) handling some documents. The focus shifts to a stack of passports. Each passport reflects different names. The names on the passports read- Ude Singh, Frank Brazil, Sher Singh, and Udham Singh. The background sound adds weight to the teaser video. The camera also zooms into a picture of Kaushal, in his character.

Sharing the teaser of Sardar Udham, Vicky wrote, “On the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, I’m proud to bring to you the story of his ally- Sardar Udham Singh- one man, many aliases, one mission. Presenting the teaser of #SardarUdham (sic).”

The film is based on the life of freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh, who assassinated General Dyer in 1940, which was to avenge the nerve-wrenching Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

It was only recently that Vicky announced that the film will have a direct-to-OTT release. He revealed the release date and made the official announcement with a new poster of the film. Sardar Udham also got a title change. It was changed from ‘Sardar Udham Singh’. The film is directed by filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.
