Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur continues its successful run in theatres even after a month of release

Vicky Kaushal received immense praise from the audience for the effortless portrayal of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in Sam Bahadur. The movie was released in theatres on 1st December and is still having a successful run in New Year as well. The movie entered the 100-crore club globally within a month of release. With the New Year holidays and positive word-of-mouth, it has witnessed steady growth and touched the Rs 90 crore mark globally.

About Sam Bahadur

The Meghna Gulzar directed biographical drama also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles. It revolved around the life of army officer Sam Manekshaw whose valour was acknowledged during the 1971 Indo-Pak war and was the first Indian who rose to the rank of Field Marshal. In the movie, Fatima essays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi while Sanya plays Manekshaw’s wife. It was released in theatres on 1st December.

On the work front, Vicky won hearts with his cameo in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. He is next gearing up for Karan Johar’s romantic drama alongside Triptii Dimri. He will also team up with Laxman Utekar for Chaava.
