Vicky Kaushal has been busy with his professional commitments in the past few months. The actor is busy shooting for his upcoming films. On Thursday, September 23, Vicky Kaushal announced that his upcoming film Sardar Udham will have a digital release. He took to his social media to make the announcement about the film. Vicky mentioned that the film will release in October, this year. Earlier, Sardar Udham starring Vicky Kaushal was scheduled to release in January. The film even got a title change. The makers of the movie dropped the ‘Singh’ from the previous title ‘Sardar Udham Singh’, making it Sardar Udham.

The Uri: The Surgical Strike actor shared a new poster of the film on his Instagram. Sharing the poster, he announced the news that his upcoming film will have a direct-to-OTT release, on the streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video.

Vicky Kaushal wrote, “My heart is filled with love as we bring to you the story of a revolutionary. This October, watch #SardarUdhamOnPrime, @primevideoin (sic).”

Sardar Udham is directed by Shoojit Sircar. The film is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. Apart from Vicky, the film also stars Amol Parashar.

Talking about the film, it is based on the life of freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh. He was known for assassinating former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, Michael O’Dwyer in 1940. The assassination was intended to avenge the spine-chilling Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

On the work front, Kaushal also has the film Immortal Ashwathama in his kitty. He even has a biopic based on Sam Manekshaw.
