Zara Hatke Zara Bachke to Dream Girl 2: Vicky Kaushal thanks audiences for the ongoing success streak of Hindi films

After facing over two years of uncertainty and a bad phase, the Hindi film business seems to be in a good groove finally. Starting from Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Bollywood has been on a success streak. Satyaprem Ki Katha, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Gadar 2, OMG 2 and Dream Girl 2, all have sustained the momentum. And now that Vicky is set to come back to theatres, he spoke about this streak.

Vicky Kaushal on Bollywood’s current success streak

Vicky’s upcoming release is The Great Indian Family with Manushi Chhillar. On Wednesday, Vicky introduced his character Bhajan Kumar, a local singing sensation. He did that by launching the film’s first song Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aa Ja. During the event, the actor interacted with media and commented on Bollywood’s current good phase.

Taking example of the humongous success of Gadar 2, Vicky said, “What Gadar 2 is doing is incredible and it’s so nice to see the audience celebrate cinema. The way films are doing well – Dream Girl 2, Gadar 2, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Satyaprem Ki Katha, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke – all are different films and the audience is giving them a chance. Back to back films are doing well. Thank you to the audience for making us believe in the power of cinema again. Content will always speak and hopefully, the momentum will continue.”

The Great Indian Family release date

As for TGIF, the film stars Vicky and Manushi in the lead. Apart from them, it has an ensemble cast including Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit and Bhuvan Arora. Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film was recently announced with a quirky teaser. The Great Indian Family has a release date of September 25, 2023.
