Vicky Kaushal to romance Alia Bhatt in Meghna Gulzar’s next?

It was just a few hours ago; we reported to you that actress Alia Bhatt might sign director Meghna Gulzar’s next film. And now, there’s a latest update related to this project. Reports suggest that ‘Masaan’ fame actor Vicky Kaushal has been approached and is likely to star opposite Alia in this film.

Sources close to the project have said to an agency, “He (Vicky) is in talks for the film with Alia. The film needed a performer like him. But we are yet to sign on dotted lines and figure out the dates and other things.” (Also Read: Vicky Kaushal’s next to be titled ‘Love Per Square Foot’)

Apparently, the film revolves around a Kashmiri woman who is married to an army officer across the border who provides Indian intelligence with invaluable information during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. It is said that the film is based on Harinder S Sikka’s book ‘Calling Sehmat: A Novel’.

Well, it would be rather an unimaginable onscreen pairing for the viewers, but it would definitely be an interesting one to see them teaming up together. But, an official confirmation is still awaited from the actor and the makers.

This project will be jointly produced by Junglee Pictures and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and is likely to go on floors by next month. Watch this space for more updates.
