Vidya Balan – Kamal Haasan get Padma honours

Actress Vidya Balan received Padma Shri award from the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee in a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan today. She was being rewarded for her contribution to Indian cinema with her performances in films like ‘Kahaani’, ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘No One Killed Jessica’. Vidya Balan looked lovely in a bright yellow sari with stunning gold jewellery.

As per sources, a thrilled Vidya said, “I’m thrilled. I’m overjoyed. I’m overwhelmed. I’m honoured. I’m humbled…! I’m running out of words to express my feelings and gratitude.” she dedicated her award to her family.

Along with the actress Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan, too received the Padma  award. He looked handsome as he went up to receive his award. A proud Kamal Haasan said, “Proud to be an Indian. India is a country with great talents in various fields. While legions await to be honoured, I am honoured that I have been chosen for Padma Bhushan by my Government.”
