It has been a while since Vidya Balan married UTV head honcho, Siddharth Roy Kapur and says that she can’t imagine being married to any other man but Siddharth.
In a recent interview, the actress spoke about her marriage and Siddharth and how he lets her be. Pointing out no matter how educated or liberated a woman is, or wives in particular, they are conditioned to put their spouses before them. “I caught myself doing that too, only for Siddharth to ask me if this was really what I wanted.”
She adds, “But my husband lets me be me. More than anything else, marriage has taught me to value myself. It’s all about do jisms and do jaans being together.”

Vidya was further asked whether she would work with Siddharth ever, to which she answered with a straight NO. It’s a choice that they made after ‘Ghanchakkar’ while filming of which, she did not interact with the MD who she was dating. “I wanted to safeguard our relationship, I didn’t want any clashes. ‘Ghanchakkar’ was my first release after marriage and I felt guilty, personalising its failure. Siddharth, more objective, told me it was ridiculous to feel that way. I know that now, but I don’t want to put myself in a similar situation again,” she says.
Vidya will next be seen in ‘Kahaani 2’, the trailer of which has already been garnering praises.
