Here’s how Vidya Balan reacted after hearing Neeyat script

Versatility and choice of movies prove why Vidya Balan is loved as an actress among the netizens. Vidya was last seen in Jalsa which had an OTT release last year on Amazon Prime Video in March and it garnered positive attention.

Now, the Sherni actress is coming up with another thrilling mystery film titled Neeyat alongside Ram Kapoor and Rahul Bose among others. Vidya’s characters looks as much appealing as the gripping story.

Choosing Vidya Balan for Neeyat

The actress is coming up together with Director Anu Menon for the second time after Shakuntala Devi. In a press conference the director shared her reason as to why Vidya Balan was chosen as a prominent role in Neeyat. She said, “I think when we started writing the script and when we started figuring out the character, it felt like a Vidya role. Not like she is similar to Vidya but we wanted someone of her calibre, of her gravitas. She is like the one who takes us on a journey through this film and someone who can trust. I wanted to first make sure that she loves the film as an audience. I knew that she enjoyed doing Shakuntala with me but I don’t think that I earned this another time with the script.”

To this generous response, Vidya Balan spoke, “I’m just a bit stumped when she said she earned it, she is being too humble. I loved the script and I enjoyed working in Shakuntala Devi. We were figuring out what to do next when she came to me with this. I had no questions really when I read it the first time. I’m just happy to have teamed up with her.”

As Vidya Balan took to Instagram sharing the trailer for Neeyat, her comment section was flooded with appreciation and how her fans can’t wait to watch the film. One comment read, “Can’t wait (two heart emojis)”, while the other comment read, “Loved it (two heart emojis).”
