Vidya Balan BREAKS SILENCE on reports of having a ‘daughter’ after viral post

Vidya Balan made an appearance at the airport on Friday. Much to everyone’s surprise, the paparazzi account that posted a video of Vidya along with a young girl captioned it as, ‘Vidya Balan with her cute daughter’. The caption left everyone wondering whether the actress has a ‘daughter’ with husband Siddharth Kapur.

Now, Vidya Balan has reacted to the viral video which claimed she has a ‘daughter’. Speaking with Hindustan Times, Vidya said, “That is my sister’s daughter Ira! She has twins: a boy Ruhaan and Ira.”

Going by the video, it is clear that she shares a close bond with her niece and loves her like a mother.

Vidya married Siddharth Roy Kapur on December 14, 2012. The actress dated him for a couple of years before they tied the knot. The actress had earlier revealed that Karan Johar was the one who played cupid between them. In 2017, Vidya was asked about having babies and she said, “Oh, I have no time for a baby. Each film I do is a new baby.”

On the work front, Vidya was last seen in Neeyat which released in the theaters. The actress played the role of adoptive detective in the same. The movie tanked at the box office.

Vidya next has Lovers, co-starring Pratik Gandhi, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Ileana D’Cruz. In December 2021, Vidya and the team wrapped up the shoot of Lovers. Lovers is a charming drama-comedy about modern relationships, which promises to be either your story or the story of your friend. Shrisha Guha Thakurta is directing the comedy-drama.
