Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday leave Liger event midway, here’s why

Vijay Deverakonda is marking his Bollywood debut with the action sports drama Liger. The movie has actress Ananya Panday sharing screen space with the Arjun Reddy star. The actors have begun promoting their much-anticipated film on major platforms. Ananya and Vijay were recently spotted promoting their movie in a mall in Navi Mumbai however, they left the promotions midway.

Reportedly Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday left midway from their promotional event at a mall in Navi Mumbai after they faced a massive turnout that got “uncontrollable”.

On Sunday, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday arrived at the mall which was overcrowded by their fans. The Arjun Reddy actor’s fans went into a frenzy after seeing him. Vijay tried to control the crowd, and was heard telling the audience, “Hum idhar hi hain..thoda araam se.. I am here only.”

But as the crowd was uncontrollable and keeping in mind the safety of the cast and the crowd the actors had to leave the premises.

As reported by sources to ETimes and revealed, “The moment Vijay took to the stage, there were sounds of swooning all round. The organisers and volunteers were shocked to see that a few female fans fainted and a few other girls started crying. Loads of fans had posters and sketches of Vijay and then the chants of ‘Vijay we love you’ started.”

Liger is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Puri Connects and helmed by Puri Jagannadh. The movie that also features Mike Tyson is set to release on August 25, 2022, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
