Vijay Deverakonda opens up about his upcoming movie Liger: I know it’s a sure hit

Vijay Deverakonda is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the release of his upcoming movie titled Liger. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and also stars Ananya Panday in a key role, along with Mike Tyson. Vijay announced his next movie with Jagannadh, Jana Gana Mana at an event on Tuesday. During the event, the Liger actor opened up about his upcoming movie. Vijay Deverakonda said that he is sure that Liger will be a hit film. The actor also claimed that Liger would be a blockbuster.

During a press conference, the Liger actor said that producer Karan Johar would thank him after the release of the movie as it will be a hit. Talking about the pressure about his Bollywood debut with Liger, Deverakonda said that he does not feel any pressure because he knows that the movie would be a hit. He said he is awaiting the movie release.

Viijay Deverakonda said, “People make it aware to me that there is this huge following and I am happy to know that it exists. But having said that I don’t feel any kind of pressure with Liger because I know it’s a sure hit. I am not bothered about it, I am just waiting for the film to release.”

Moving on, Vijay also spoke about producer Karan Johar and how he bagged the movie. He thanked Karan for the opportunity and said that he has taken a terrific decision. Deverakonda said, “I am very grateful to him for giving me this opportunity. Karan can thank me after the film releases because we will give him a blockbuster. I want this film to be huge as Karan has taken a terrific decision, and I want him to be happy with his decision. If Liger becomes a huge hit, he will take more such decisions, and more talented actors will get opportunities to work in more national films, work in big projects.”

At the conference, the Liger actor revealed that he did not find it difficult to speak in Hindi. He mentioned that the script he was given had everything, including dialogues with proper grammar. Vijay even mentioned he had fun shooting Liger.

Meanwhile, Liger is scheduled to release on August 25, in theatres. The upcoming movie is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and Karan Johar.
