Actor Vijay Deverakonda is busy promoting his upcoming movie, Liger on various platforms now. However, amidst the promotional activities, the one thing that has been trending for a while is boycotting Bollywood. Earlier, Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan faced criticism and netizens started trending ‘Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Boycott Raksha Bandhan’ on social media. moreover, another big release is going to hit the theatres this Saturday and people have already started trending Boycott Liger.
Now, reacting to the trend, Vijay Deverakonda gives a casual answer just like his onscreen character. News agency ANI quoted Vijay speaking about Liger on Monday, “With Liger we expected a bit of drama…but we’ll fight. We’ve put our heart into making this film. And I believe that I am correct. I feel that there is no room for fear, when I had nothing, I didn’t fear, and now after having achieved something, I don’t think there needs to be any fear even now. Maa ka aashirwaad hai, Logon ka pyaar hai, Bhagwaan ka haath hai, andar aag hai, Kaun rokenge dekh lenge (We have mother’s blessings, people’s love, God’s support, a fire inside us, we will see who will stop us)!”

In another interview, Vijay was asked about his reaction if Liger flops. To which he said, “I want to remember the love. The audience is important, we work for them, and we travel cities just to meet them and we want to win their love.”
Meanwhile, Liger stars Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday and Ramya Krishnan. The film is bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Liger which is touted to be a pan-India film is Vijay Deverakonda Bollywood debut movie. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is scheduled to release on August 25.
