Vijay Deverakonda finally reacts to criticism for putting feet on table during Liger promotions

Actor Vijay Deverakonda has been promoting his upcoming movie Liger in full swing. He along with his co-star Ananya Panday has been travelling to various cities to promote the pan-India film. Recently, the Arjun Reddy actor was in Hyderabad for the same. During a press con, he was seen putting his feet up on a table. Post which he faced criticism on social media. The photos and videos from the press conference has gone viral. Vijay was in a white T-shirt and a black pant and jacket. Ananya was seen sitting beside him.

A section of people called out his mannerism and called it an ‘arrogant behaviour’. Now, Deverakonda has responded to the trolling as he shared a video of himself from the aforementioned event on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Anybody trying to grow in their field Will Always have a Target on their back – But we fightback 🙂 And when you are honest, yourself and want the best for everyone – The love of people and God will protect you”.

For the unversed, at the event, Vijay was sitting in that manner just to make a journalist comfortable. The journalist asked Vijay now that he is a Bollywood star, if he would speak with the media with the same comfort. So, to make him feel comfortable, the Dear Comrade actor said that he (journalist) can stretch his legs and talk to him freely. He then put his legs on the table and everyone on the room started laughing.

Coming back to Liger, the movie is all set to release in theatres on August 25. It also stars Mike Tyson, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and Vishu Reddy among others. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
