Vijay Deverakonda has made his big Bollywood debut with Liger. The pan-India movie released in theatres on August 25. The Arjun Reddy actor has played the role of an MMA fighter in the sports drama. The movie also has legendary boxer Mike Tyson in a special cameo role. In the movie, Vijay Deverakonda is seen locking horns with Mike Tyson. In an interview, Vijay had revealed that Mike lovingly abused him on Liger sets.
Vijay told IANS, “He abused me a lot, albeit lovingly, in English and I can’t even repeat what he said to me. But yes, I had a good time with him”.
Vijay Deverakonda also revealed that Mike Tyson is fond of Indian food and music and he is afraid of the crowds here. “He loves India a lot for its food, music and people. In fact, he used to ask us to bring Indian food for him which he enjoyed a lot. But yes, he is scared of the crowd here,” added the actor.

Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh and it also stars Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, and Makrand Deshpande, among others. The movie opened with mixed reviews but Vijay Deverakonda’s performance has been raved by the critics and audience. It seems his hard work has been paid off as the Dear Comrade actor has gone through a huge physical transformation for the movie.
