Vijay Deverakonda REVEALS reason behind wearing chappals for Liger promotions

Actor Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday are gearing for the release of their upcoming sports drama Liger. The posters and the trailer has received an immense response from every nook and corner of the country. The lead cast is also leaving no stones unturned to promote the movie. However, the Arjun Reddy star’s look for promotions has caught the attention of fans and paps. Vijay Deverakonda’s appearance wearing chappals has become a hot topic on the internet.

In an interview with ETimes, Vijay Deverakonda has finally opened up on the reason he is seen wearing chappals for Life Promotions.

Vijay Deverakonda said, “I know it’s a blockbuster (Liger) with Chappals and cross legs…I wear all sorts of things. Jab mood laga kuch bhi phenta hu (I wear whatever I feel like). See, 30 days I have to promote the film and then every day I have to look for shoes and clothes and it will take forever. So, one great chappal I bought and it is making my life easier…So, I just do what I feel like.”

Vijay Deverakonda will play an MMA artist with a stammering issue in sports drama Liger. Ananya Panday will play his love interest. The Puri Jagannadh directorial also features Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande, and Getup Srinu in pivotal roles. American boxer Mike Tyson is marking his debut in Indian cinema and has a special cameo in the film. Liger is all set to hit the theatres on August 25.
