A few days back while Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut were engaged in a Twitter spat, actor-boxer Vijender Singh had also slammed the actress for her unwarranted comments on the ongoing farmers’ protest.

Now following Diljit’s footsteps, Vijender also joined the agitating farmers and extended his support to them. The boxer has also said that if the government doesn’t withdraw its new farm laws.

According to a report by ANI, Vijender addressing the protesting farmers said, “If the government doesn’t withdraw the black laws, I’ll return my Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award – the highest sporting honour of the nation.”

The actor-boxer also added, “I’d received training in Punjab & had their ‘roti’. Today when they’re here in cold, I’ve come as their brother. Other athletes from Haryana wanted to come but they have govt jobs & would’ve been in trouble. They say they’re with farmers.”

Vijender had previously slammed Kangana Ranaut openly for her Twitter spat with Diljit. He had told the actress that she has messed with the wrong people.

The boxer had even lashed out Bollywood A-listers for their silence on the farmers’ protest.

Vijender had made his Bollywood debut as an actor in film ‘Fugly’ that released in 2014. The film was directed by Kabir Sadanand and bankrolled by Akshay Kumar.
