The Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram had been one of the most awaited releases of the year with it starring the legend in the lead while also bringing in superstars like Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi. The film opened last weekend to a roaring response by the audience and has been collecting big at the ticket counters all over the country.
To commemorate the success of Vikram, recently the popular dairy brand Amul featured the movie in their latest topical. The artwork features the character of Kamal Haasan from Vikram holding a rifle in one hand and a buttered bread slice in other with the title ‘Vikramul!’ The artwork further read, “Amul Masska Entertainer.” While posting it on social media, the dairy brand wrote, “#Amul Topical: Kamal Haasan excels in his comeback blockbuster!”

Vikram continues from the 2019 film Kaithi and follows a black-ops squad led by Amar, played by Fahaadh Faasil, tracking down masked vigilantes, while he learns of a drug syndicate group called Vetti Vagaiyara, led by Sandhanam played by Vijay Sethupathi, who wants the missing drugs to be delivered to his cold-blooded boss. Haasan plays Karnan who comes to know that his son is one of the victims of the gang and to take revenge, he makes a plan and is later introduced as Vikram, the same character that he played in the 1986 film Vikram. This film is a spiritual successor of the 1986 actioner while a direct sequel to Kaithi.

The film features an ensemble cast boasting of Shivani Narayanan, Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Antony Varghese and Arjun Das, with a cameo by Suriya. The film is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and released on June 3 to a positive response critically and commercially.
