Vikram Batra biopic starring Sidharth Malhotra to go on floors next year?

Sidharth Malhotra, who will be seen playing main lead Vikram Batra’s biopic, is currently going through a lean phase in Bollywood. The shooting of his biopic too has been pushed to next year. Sid is already shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Jabariya Jodi’ and was supposed to shoot for Batra’s biopic soon after it.

Due to some technical issues, there was a change in plan. “A major chunk of the biopic needs to be shot in Kashmir. During the recce, the makers realised that the weather conditions would be too rough around January-February for shooting to progress smoothly. Hence, they took a unanimous call to push the schedule by a few months,” a source told DNA.

As per reports, Vikram Batra biopic is reportedly titled as ‘Kargil: Sher Shah’. It will showcase the life of Kargil martyr Vikram Batra. The movie will be going on floors around next year from April to May. “Meanwhile, Sid will kick-start Milap’s revenge saga, which also features newbie Tara Sutaria, this December. It will be wrapped up around March 2019,” a source told DNA.

On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra (who was last seen in ‘Aiyaary‘) has many movies lined-up. The actor is busy wrapping up work on ‘Jabariya Jodi’ with Parineeti Chopra and has Milap Zaveri’s movie in his kitty too. The Vikram Batra biopic is produced by Karan Johar and Shabir Boxwala and helmed by Vishnu Vardhan.
