It’s a new innings for Vikram Bhatt! The filmmaker has turned an author with his debut book “A Handful of Sunshine”, with pages full of intense romance.
However, you’d be wrong to think it’s a happy love story; for Bhatt himself fantasises the agony of failed love and the joyful aspect of it. He says love brings to him thought of sadness and not happiness.
“When I think of love, I think of pain and not joy. I know that is not the way it’s supposed to be, but it has been that way for me,” he says. (Also Read: Vikram Bhatt lashes out at KRK for bringing down Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ by his tweets)
Vikram was married to Aditi Bhatt and had an extra-marital relationship with beauty queen and actress Sushmita Sen. He was also in a brief relationship with actress Ameesha Patel. He would credit his failed love life to his own perception of togetherness and calls himself a ‘loner’.
“Love is the most elusive thing I know. Always an arm’s length away, teasing me and asking me to stretch a bit more and grab it. The more I stretched, the more it slipped away. Through those many slips comes my book, ‘A Handful of Sunshine’,” he says.
The book is being published by Penguin Random House India and will come out April this year.
