Vikram Gokhale death: Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Raveena Tandon pay emotional tributes

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale breathed his last in a Pune hospital on Saturday. As the news of the actor’s death made headlines, several Bollywood celebrities took to their respective social media accounts and mourned his loss. Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Raveena Tandon mourn the death of veteran actor Vikram Gokhale and paid emotional tributes.

Taking to his Twitter, Akshay Kumar penned a heartfelt note. He said he learnt a lot from Gokhale, while working with the veteran on movies like Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Mission Mangal. The actor said he felt sad when he got knowledge about Gokhale’s demise.

The Ram Setu actor tweeted, “Very sad to know of the demise of Vikram Gokhale ji. Worked with him in films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Mission Mangal, had so much to learn from him. Om Shanti,” followed by a folded hands emoji.

Anupam Kher, a close colleague and friend of Gokhale’s, made a tweet and wrote, “विक्रम गोखले ! #VikramGokhale.” Followed by the veteran actor’s name, the Uunchai actor even added three broken hearts emojis.

About two days ago, when the rumours about the death of Vikram Gokhale made headlines, Anupam Kher had shared a video of the late actor, remembering him. He mentioned about his last conversation with the actor. Kher even posted the video featuring Gokhale, where the late actor recites a poem.

Raveena Tandon reacted to a report shared by a news agency ANI and said “Om shanti”. She paid a last respects to the actor.

Nana Patekar, who worked with Gokhale in the iconic Marathi film Natasamrat penned an emotional tribute and shared a memorable photo with the veteran actor. In a post on Facebook, Patekar in Marathi wrote, “Vikram I always bow down in front of you ….. Might be…There will never be an artist and human like you….”

Manoj Bajpayee took to his Twitter and penned a moving tribute, remembering Vikram Gokhale, his co-actor in the movie Aiyyari. He wrote, “Indian cinema lost a gem of an actor. Had the privilege of working with him in Aiyyari and shared few great moments with him on the set ! Saddened to hear about Shri Vikram Gokhale ji’s demise. Vikram Gokhale was hospitalized on November 24 to a Pune hospital due to health issues. The veteran actor passed away after being on the ventilator for a few days. His last rites will take place at Vaikunth crematorium in Pune, on Saturday, itself.

The veteran actor, known for his works in the movies Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Mission Mangal, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Natasamrat and many others, is survived by his wife and two children.
